What is zensnap?: zensnap is a service that allows you to create screen recordings online in your browser, no downloads or software installation necessary.
Who should use zensnap: Anyone who needs to explain something visually — developers, educators, product teams, support staff, and anyone tired of writing long emails.
Is there a time limit?: Currently, Zensnap supports recordings up to 5 minutes. Longer sessions will be supported soon.
Can I include microphone audio?: Yes, zensnap lets you optionally include your microphone for voiceovers or spoken walkthroughs. You’ll be prompted to allow access before recording starts.
What video format is used?: Recordings are saved as MP4.
Where are my recordings saved?: Recordings are streamed to the server while you're recording. Once finished, you’ll get a downloadable MP4 link or can copy a shareable URL.
Is my recording private?: Yes. Recordings are not public by default. Only you can access your recording unless you choose to share the link.
Does Zensnap work on all browsers?: zensnap works best on Chrome, Edge, and Safari (14.1+). Firefox is partially supported. Mobile browsers are not currently supported.
Can I pause or stop the recording anytime?: Yes — you can pause, resume, or stop the recording at any time using the control bar.
